CenTax is pleased to announce that Dr Simon Price, Director of Insight, AI and Innovation at HMRC, will be one of the keynote speakers at our inaugural residential conference.
Since joining HMRC with a mission to “join up the dots” on AI in 2025, Simon and his team have begun the largest roll-out of Microsoft Copilot in UK government; are shaping guardrails and metrics for how AI is used to enhance customer interactions; and testing whether AI can help identify deliberate tax evasion.
He will speak on HMRC’s approach to AI, with a specific angle on applications for tax compliance and closing the tax gap.
Simon’s previous experience includes senior data and AI delivery roles at Unisys, Lloyd’s Register, Just Eat, NATO, Capgemini, and academia. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Bristol, where he is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow with more than 50 peer-reviewed papers across AI, data, and software engineering.
