Are you an experienced communications or public affairs professional, with a demonstrable track record of building communication and stakeholder strategies to shape policy development and issues at a national level, ensuring communications and engagement are targeted and tracked?
The Centre for the Analysis of Taxation (CenTax) is a new centre dedicated to improving public understanding of tax policy and helping to design a better tax system, by generating evidence that is rigorous and relevant to policymakers and the public.
Led by Dr Arun Advani (Warwick) and Dr Andy Summers (LSE), the Centre produces high-profile policy research that frequently makes the national news and drives debates about taxation. Previous and ongoing work includes research on non-doms, Inheritance Tax, and other tax reforms affecting top earners and the wealthy.
We’re looking for an experienced Communication and Public Affairs Lead to work with our Directors to enable the Centre to maximise the impact of its work on policy and practice through a strategic programme of stakeholder engagement, including government officials, media, tax professionals, third sector organisations and industry representatives.
Our ideal candidate will have experience of translating complex research into engaging content for non-academic audiences including journalists, policymakers and politicians, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively alongside a wide range of people.

Salary: £57,422 – £66,537 per annum
